The top looks like it could mount large weapons. Like a dual battery of surface-to-surface rockets or something. That would be different.

I'm all for a smaller lighter transport. (though I'd really like a faster airborne machine with ~half squad capability)
You know what could be a hilarious gimmick side-grade? Jump-jets. It's be the light-assault to the Sunderer's HA. EDIT; I also like the idea of the it being the lighting + buggy (yeah yeah, it's not the lightning) in an IFV sort of thing.

First thing I thought was ANT when I saw the configuration. My theory is that this vehicle came about from the devs realizing that there was a gap in functionality between the quad and the sunderer. I'd guess this is meant to be a sort of humvee equivelent, fast but lightly armored. Really dig the looks.

This Deli looks pretty legit in my book. I think it could swim, and I hope it's a default feature, not a sidegrade... I could see this vehicle filling the role of empire-specific buggies, considering that Battlefield's HMMV and Vodnik, which are of similar bulk to this vehicle, being pretty much as nimble and quick as PS1's buggies. If you take into account how useless the Growler jeep is in BF3 (and how useless jeeps/buggies were in Battlefield in general) I kind of foresee that the devs will see no point in implementing buggies in PS2 at all. Hopefully they will make them work in PS2, as I want to see "glass cannon" vehicles in my upcoming favorite game of all time. |
