We have been talking about having it as a forward base the whole time. Discussing the Galaxy and it's role is a huge part of the discussion of making the Sundy a forward base I would say because doing so directly affects the Galaxy.

I will however, go back to the OP and make some comments. I like the idea of giving the Sundy more of a deployable role and allowing it, when used in conjunction with a Galaxy, to provide additional field capabilities. I really do miss the idea of the Cloak Bubble from the AMS and I see your and Figments point on how losing it from the Galaxy really changes the way mobile spawns work. I'd love to add the cloak bubble to the sunderer as an upgrade so the two vehicles will benefit from being used as a pair.

I get the impression that the Gal isn't intended to replace the AMS. It might also be possible they want to do away with AMSing entirely with the zone captured base designs. While that doesn't necessarily stop the FOB concept for the Sunderer, I don't see the Gal as a real competitor when it comes to main line spawn pointing nor do I think the zoned spawns for bases and towers should disallow players from having a destructible mobile mini tower. Not every battle will be around a base or a tower, and AMSes were always an integral part of those 'wilderness fights'.
