I am looking for an existing outfit or either people to help me start one. I already have a group of friends who weve been gaming together since 2007 and have had a lot of fun times through the years, we started out playing enemy territory quakewars and have played everything from mmos to other shooters through the years. Currently were playing tribes ascend and battlefield 3, mostly just TA atm though.
The main reason im interested in starting a outfit is I want to make sure the outfit im part of is fair to everybody myself and friends included. Theres nothing worse than being in a group with somebody whos on a power trip. I realize too though not having played the original PS much ill be at an initial disadvantage so im more than willing to learn. Ive played tons of shooters and mmos though and remember the basics of PS and dont see that it would be all that hard to pickup. I have ran many guilds and clans in the past so i have plenty of experience, i mainly just want to play the game though and get in with a good group of people. Dont care if im running it or somebody else, like i say the main thing is that its fair and democratic to its members. Havent really decided on a faction yet either, the two im looking at though are VS and NC but not to say i wouldnt join a good TR outfit if somebody could sell me on the idea. I just keep hearing so much about how people join outfits and they play with that group for years and they become your friends and family outside the gamethat sounds like what i have with the current clan i help run and its been dwindling lately so itd be awesome to get back into that. Kindve long winded but i hope im getting across what im saying. If anybodys got an outfit like that with a real close knit friends first, game second mentality then id be more than up to join and im sure my friends would as well. I also have this to throw out there. I own a 512 slot TS3 server id be willing to let the outfit use if needed, i have full super admin and can assign admin to whoever would need it etc. Anyway i hope to hear back from some of you and look forward to meeting you. Thanks, Shin PS:Not sure if age is an issue but im 37 and the group of friends i have we game with range from 18 to 47 so we have a large variation in ages, my son will also want to play hes 13 but very mature and respectful. |

First of all welcome to PlanetSide!
Second, it is good to see someone who knows what they want. I can't say War Machine is the outfit for you and your group, but we are laid back and easygoing. The rank system is symbolic mostly or for organizational purposes. We aren't interested in being a paramilitary force hell bent on proving that we could have beat Seal Team Six to the Ace of ******. War Machine is a new outfit for PlanetSide 2 and most of our members are as well. Our leader is well experienced in the way of PlanetSide, and he can drive a tank like most people can slide a credit card. We plan to get a TeamSpeak III server when Beta hits, but we would happily interface with yours instead if you join up. Our mission is to take the best of the smallfit and zergfit concepts and become Danny Trejo's machete. In any case, take a look at our website and feel free to introduce yourself. If we aren't the right fit for you, we will help you find the outfit that is right for you. |

Nice to see another new face, welcome to the community Shin!
Just to be clear, are you looking to join an existing outfit or create one of your own? It seems you've said both in the post. Assuming the former, Ghosts of the Revolution (VS) would be glad to have you and your friends. Our primary concern is always our members having the best time possible in-game, we don't do loads of ghost hacking or sitting around when people are online and ready to kill sh**. We choose the best target we can and go for the kill, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it's a rare thing that we don't enjoy ourselves. If you're interested, feel free to send me a PM - you can also check out some of what we do by going to this Youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MeatballMobeus/videos and checking out some of the recent Planetside videos. They aren't necessarily 10 minutes of action packed insanity, but they're candid footage of what we do, when we do it, no scripting. A few new recruits have been really impressed by what they've seen, so check it out! Hope you find what you're looking for, regardless. ---robocpf1

First off thanks for the quick detailed replies, both of your outfits sound awesome and wed be proud to join either one. Im going to take my time though and see what other replies i get before i jump in. But the fact that both of your replies were so well written and detailed shows the passion people have for this game which makes it even more encouraging. Cant wait until release i think this is the shooter ive been waiting for all these years.
@sobekeus sounds like after reading what youve said that you guys could be a good fit. As far as the TS if we joined yould be more than welcome to use it. @robocpf1 i watched that one raid video u had posted and it really reminded me of my current group hanging out on TS. Looked like a lot of fun and laughs which is exactly what im looking for. I definitely think thats a good idea for marketing your outfit because showing that youre closeknit like that and work together fluidly on the fly as a unit goes a long way. As far as me starting a outfit or joining one i was kindve undecided which is why i started the thread to kindve get a feel for the community and figure out from there. So far im really impressed and will probably just join a preexisting one but like i say not in a rush because we got a ton of time between now and launch im sure. |

War Machine's website is at www.warmach.net. We don't have any fancy movies yet
But we do have the best theme song ever. |

Definitely will. Im still up in the air about starting one or joining one, so freaking hard to decide. Honestly I love NCs fight for freedom motto but the whole energy weapons thing on VS is really appealing especially since im suffering from tactical military shooter burnout. So refreshing to see a true sci fi backdrop on a shooter again.

'Lo mate, BRTD are recruiting, we are current PS1 TR's highest number of active players outfit and are headng to PS2 in force. We run a full platoon almost every night and use the voice programm 'Mumble'.
Well we are a very fair outfit for starter, everyone is allowed to say what they want as long as it is within reason. Also that we are a community of players and many PS1 vets from it's Beta will be going into PS2 so don't ever be affraid to ask question on help and stuff. The good thing is we all will be experiencing something new and different when we all go into PS2 together. Age will not be a problem, myself I'm 16 and seem to be main recruiter of BRTD, while on the other side we have a 67 year old playing (who loves his wine gums) Ages inside the outfit rane quite a bit but I think I'm the youngest who plays in it. If you want to find out more join one of our squads ingame and ask, or send me a tell ingame (DeltaWidow) - aswell as going to our newly updated website: www.brtd.net and send in an application. Thanks DW |
