Devs have done it before, leak a bit here and there and say someone hacked it. All publicity is good publicity.

Ugh, video game conspiracy theorists are the worst kind of conspiracy theorists. If you want to be a nutter about the government and aliens, I can at least have a laugh at you. But people who shove the "THEY LEAKED IT ON PURPOSE!!! " down your throat are as annoying as their belief is trivial.

i thought sony had learned something from the hacker attacks last year...

but if they can´t even keep a beta client of their most important new game unleaked, i don´t know if i would want to give them my creditcard numbers, or any other disclosed data

really hope their cheat and hackprotection is better than their internal security... but how are the chances?

To solve the problem use a rechargeable credit card a lot better for online transictions

Don't see why a them leaking it on purpose is so hard to believe. It's either that or believe they're incompetent.

Actually, your right, it would be stupid of them to bring any attention to those hacker attacks.

OH NO THEY LEAKED A FREE GAME.

Not just that, but a game that means nothing without a multiplayer. A multiplayer that can't be accessed through a spoofed client.

Hacking for the beta client won't affect the game right now, but hacking during release will. Hopefully PS2 will have all its holes plugged before release.
