You forgot to mention also an invisible shoutgun pointing at you(infiltrators gets them combine that with a cloack approach) ..... the first thing i am going to cert as medic is no heal, no vehicle, no weapon, i am going straight to the termal vision.

We're used to that though (NC Cloakers had a choice of a shotgun PISTOL or a machine pistol that killed you about as quick).

Except, I think you'll find that the MCG doesn't have the same effective ranges as before. It'll be shortened, because HA will have the LMG. Likewise, the Lasher.

If that weapon is anything to go by, hopefully never.

I was thinking about this when I made my post. We could always go into speculation mode now that we have all the leaked content? Note that following text is just from one huge file so it lacks any context.

Text talking about the Lasher and variant
  • Lasher VSH1
  • The experimental Lasher VSH1 rapid fires powerful hypercompressed projectiles that expand and explode on contact, melting nearby enemies.
  • Triton VSH3
  • The Triton was developed as a point defense variant of the Lasher, featuring a higher rate of fire than the original.
Text mentioning an "MCG":
  • T7 Mini-Chaingun
  • The sound of the menacing T7 MCG firing strikes fear into the heart of its enemies. It is capable of sustained fire that can tear apart entire squads.
  • MCG-2 Nailstorm
  • The remarkable engineering of the powerful MCG-2 Nailstorm has caused it to be referred to as "the TR's mobile turret."
Jackhammer:
  • NC5 Jackhammer
  • The legendary NC5 Jackhammer heavy shotgun's stopping power and sustained fire capabilities make it a frightening weapon in close quarters combat.
  • LA2 Rampart
  • Liberty Arsenal's hefty LA2 Rampart is their take on the basic Jackhammer design. Re-envisioned to be better suited for point defense, the Rampart can lock down high priority locations with ease.
Rampart

Usually monstrous means large in size. It has no connotation toward the weight of the object.

If you view the file a lot of the text is simply filler text it seems like. (It's a massive file). It's possible someone just typed this stuff in quickly to get a general idea into the game. Could also be referring to a different MCG in the game.

Well, one thing to take away from this is how there are variants of the HA's with some different effects...at least for the lasher they describe "A higher rate of fire" for one variant.

It sounds like there could be 3 variants of the MCG, but doesn't explain them very much. And nothing at all about the jackhammer....but I like the idea of HA variants.

I dunno, where I come from huge, monstrous and enormous usually go hand in hand with "fucking heavy".

Wait nvm. The Behemoth is a different gun. Updated the details. This is confusing trying to match up random statements in a file with their weapons. Might not be related to the TR MCG. It has a different label. "LRC"
LRC5 Behemoth
The Light Rotary Cannon "Behemoth" utilizes lightweight alloys to allow for a more maneuverable MCG.

Well "Light Rotary Cannon" is just a fancy way of saying "Mini Chain Gun".

P.S.: Just switch LRC5 "Behemoth with MCG-2 "Nailstorm" and it'd make sense, description and name wise.

shotguns still fine, just need solid slugs not buckshot for outdoors. Triple shot of a weapon that can one hit destroy shields? yeah I'm down.
