I'm playing VS but if I had to choose a second faction it's TR for sure.

In terms of lore I feel like the developers did a great job portraying all of the factions in both positive and negative terms. The NC come across as freedom fighters/corporate mercenaries, the VS as either progressive technophiles/intolerant zealots, and the TR as peace keepers/oppressive tyrants. Of the three I'm most inclined to pick NC.

In terms of aesthetics I feel like the VS have the most appealing color scheme to me by far. Between the other two, I prefer blue and gold with hard angles over red and black with rounded edges, but all three factions look great.

In terms of gameplay I'm very much inclined to play NC because I prefer to make every shot count rather than taking more shots overall. VS falls somewhere in between whereas TR is the opposite of what I prefer.

Overall I'm leaning toward NC with VS a close second and TR a distant third. I'm trying to keep an open mind now, because once I do make an empire choice I have absolutely no desire to change sides. I hate the thought of fighting against the people I once fought with.

I don't know realistic bullet drop is going to be, but a VS laser-sniper rifle sounds pretty appealing. But NC 1st for sure.
