This is certainly an easier trailer to show someone than the last one.
I kind of feel like it's the first one to truly try and capture the overall flow of assault and capture, even if it is in such a condensed form. If they keep working on these, then we should see some truly fantastic trailers by launch. Oh, and |

question guys do we know if EU players can play on USA servers and visa versa yet? im nc on emerald but was always tr on werner, im in EU which means i would like to play TR here again and NC on emerald, the best of each server, nc was best on emerald tr on werner and back in the day vs on markov ...any info on this yet?

"Size. Always. Matters." is the slogan. And it's what's known as a double entendre, meaning it's intended to have two meanings. Typically, one of those meanings is considered risque or suggestive, usually in a sexual sense. So, looking at the phrase and taking it at face value, the slogan implies that Planetside 2 is a more awesome game than its competition because it's bigger in scale. More players on a map, bigger maps, persistent world instead of rounds... The risque way to read that plays off the suggestion that the size of one's male member plays a significant role in his ability to sexually satisfy his partner. "Sex sells," is the marketing term that applies here. As for me, I kind of like the slogan. It's playful, just a little self-aware of its cheesiness, and yet kind of loud and in your face with it's bold declarations. A good match for the generally male-centric video-gaming market. I also liked the trailer well enough. It unapologetically went after the game's strong points, trying to draw you into a battle and make it seem big and exciting, with lots of action shots. Some of the staged shots where you just see guys shooting off-screen continued to look canned and a little dull, but there were plenty of more dynamic shots where you could see both sides of the conflict behaving sensibly, and I particularly liked the ones that implied off-screen action, as well, like when the aircraft would swoop through the shot in the background. I could do with a few less explosions, though I certainly understand that the devs are proud of the lighting and particle effects in their engine, and want to show them off. Mechanically, I'm interested to see how the door fields work and what they will do to shape the game flow. The interior of the tech plant looks more interesting than last we saw it, which is also encouraging. |

Better video than the E3 one that's for sure. Music could still use some work. Graphics are still breathtaking.
