I'll probably be a solo HA to start off with at least, interspersed with pinches of AA MAX. If I join a squad, I might play Medic or do some sniping. If I ever drive a tank, I'd be focusing on blowing aircraft out of the air with tank shells.

I plan on being a good person to rely on for support, as well as being a combat medic, extra combat .

As for vehicles, I'm gonna avoid the flying crap, cause I am terrible at flying. I'll focus more on the Sunderer for my outfit (whenever I join one )

So much to choose from!
But I've really been feeling Engineer, Medic, Long Range Sniper. Perhaps a bit of Galaxy and Sunderer driving in there.

Command certs primarily, and a ton of Scythe. One of the things that has me so excited for this game is being able to customize a dedicated air-to-air fighter, so that's one of the big things I'm going to focus on.

Couldn't agree more. There is nothing more gratifying than bringing a knife to a gun fight and winning.

Going to focus on air combat with a bit of light assault at first.

i will be putting all my certs into vehicles (tanks/transports/lib) first
then maybe engineer and max
then once those are fairly well done maybe some HA and infil

but vehicle driving will be my priority

I hear dat! Fo realz.

Might go up in command a bit also depending on that bonus XP for squaddies and who else in the outfit is doing it.

Edit: Actually, reading how many of you are going for air superiority, i might specialise in AA!

i thought we were all going to play 80 hours a week and fully cert into everything?!

yeah, i hear soe say it will take years to cert everything... but is that timeframe in regard to a casual (majority) player's playtime? because there's a major gap between them and those who will play 24/7.

i plan to cert everything. i'm curious how much i can cert if i play 24/7.

i hope they don't intend to implement some ridiculous diminishing returns on how long it takes to gain another cert after x amount of certs gained. that has always proven to be a bad game design choice. i think soe is doing it right by allowing all vehicles to be useable by default w/o certs, so less reason to implement diminishing returns.

You ever played Eve?

Man... that was some epic timewasting. To get a fully kitted mining ship with uber mining lasers took something like 18 months. And that was just the miner, then you had the battleships (like 8 types) and the scouts and the interceptors and the cannons, missiles, combat lasers, drones, marksmanship, leadership, self repairs, shields, salvage...

I think it took 27 years to "fully spec" in everything in that game. And then they brought out an expansion with new skills, weapons and ships.
