I've never understood the whole "lets be horrible to noobs" mentality. We were/are all noobs at some point. We can't be experts at a game instantly!

In most of the games I've played recently most noobs are welcomed in with open arms, nurtured and trained to be veterans and I'm hoping PS2 will have this kind of a community.

I have been playing Counter-Strike since its beta in 1999 and been apart of their community forever. It is one of the main reasons I quit playing that game. It is by far the most immature community I've ever experienced every other person is a hater or troll it seems, every one is just out to screw each other over and they all roll in crews or packs.

You can never be the best or even considered good in cs because everyone is looking for how you perform on a daily basis in the game and don't care about what you have did or accomplished in the past. There's no sense of being a vet because the community is overran by kids who started playing the game 4 years ago, most of them are cod fan boys. These days kids just buy/scam low steam digits and act like they been around forever. The CS community are nothing but posers anymore. The planetside community is a whole different creature really and most people are cool as hell. I'm glad to be back into PS again.

Have to agree there. GA was a pretty cool game that could have been great with a few bits and bobs in it. Many more instance maps for example...

TF2 community would be my worst pick though. So many bungholes hooking up a (deliberately crap) music stream into their voice comms and no way to mute them!!!

Please devs, add in a mute option to PS2 voice comms!!!

CS and DotA Russian Communities. You will never EVER find a worse set of people. My favourite part is where they say that any players that are better than them (especially cybersport professionals) are noobs and they can easily take them all on one versus everyone.

1. Don't join micspam servers. They're usually clearly labeled.

2. Press escape --> click Mute.

The Red orchestra 2 forums can be a wiled place they seemed to love ripping up noobs, there were lots of good people in there but lots of people ready to take someone's head off for spelling something wrong or saying anything good/bad about the game
