trying to find out a little something on Boomers..

Now heres what I want to know.. If boomers can be attached to infantry units and they then climb into a Base turret or vehicle what happens?

do you kill the vehicle and any infantry inside.. do you crash the game as it cannot compute!! does the boomer fade from existance until the enemy steps out of vehicle/turret?

Is it really confirmed that you can attach boomers to vehicles and Infantry?

I like things that go Boom so if anyone knows would be appreciated

actually nope.. I read a few weeks back that boomers could be placed on infantry and im wondering from those that have seen the game at communty day if they can confirm either way if its true.

Since in PS1 I played CE and Infil for my infantry roles, this use of boomers appeals to me.

Good luck stopping a light assault guy strapped with boomers jumping into your group if there are no jammers.

If it's actually possible, it should be interesting to beta test.

Actually the Light Assault would be the class with the jammers as they are supposed to be a battlefield disruptor grenaider, pluss jammer grenades would be the Light assault anti-vehicle defensive weapon.

I remeber using boomers and jammers were an art form, you can place them next to a HEmine to give it a boost, (jammer mines wouldn't set off boomers) prime a generator to go down in a single blast, or place them around a door and drop the trigger to make a trap. (a good cloaker could pick up the trigget and destroy it to silently disarm the trap.) Heck i even did a suicide by loading a techplant cc room with 20 boomers, was able to catch the first 2 maxs in a crash. lol

Fairly safe to assume all questions on the forums here are asking about released information. No need to bring that up - plenty of released sources for us to all reference.

Also wanted to know if c4 (I think they dropped the boomer name - shame) attached to players had an effect once they boarded a vehicle (should cause bonus damage imho).

So far the only thing I have found is that c4 is carried by light assault and infiltrators seem to get claymore/proximity traps instead. The C4 does attach to things but it's rigged to not explode when the LA is still in range, so no more suicide runs to take out that tank at all costs.
