Well, in some sort of way that should be done.. I'm pretty sure that if those guys knows how to unpack the files of the game that are protected, they also **** around with all kind of illegal informatics activities.

I suggest that we put every hack developers in a concentration camp and decimate them to give it an end. (That might be pushing it a little bit far, just burn their computers)

Sellers have no market without buyers.

I will never get why people BUY an aimbot to play a game, or even use one at all. That's such a weird way to entertain yourself, immersion and challenge completely gone.
I remember trying one back in the days of Unreal Tournament, and it completely killed the fun for me.

Hack sellers/dev are evil and they know that there will always be someone to buy their stupid junk.

I'm sure some people justify hacking just because they figure "others hacks too".

Then there's gonna be the guys who "just wanted to try it".

Then there is going to be the 8 years old that saw his friend who "just tried" it and he's gonna be asking his parents to buy it for him and they will.

There isn't any straight forward way to stop them without having all measures setup to put sticks up their wheels: Have paypal/credit card companies/banks block payments going towards these fraudulent companies then have one carried in front of the tribunal and get fined to bankruptcy a million times to give the example.

The problem is that these guys setup their stuff in internet/fiscal paradises where they can't be struck by any laws. Even though they retail their product in your country doesn't seems like it gives them any issues carrying the funds over to their end.

Well yeah i get that. I just don't get what's fun about that online. You can't even feel powerful when you know it's just the program doing the work. If i want to feel powerful and mighty i fire up Battlefield with (AI) bots or play GTA.

Then again i'm in my 30s and have other things to raise my self esteem.

I think a slightly more relevant problem is that they're not breaking any laws.

I'm not trying to give you the impression that I condone any piece of this equation. It's just that, after 6 years of doing financial threat intel, there are certain realities you need to embrace. The first is that a market doesn't exist without buyers.

The second is that there is no legislative paradise that can't be moved with the right lever.

The most important thing is that it's against SOE's ToS and they take appropriate action.

I just hope they have more active (and passive) abilities to detect these hackers than relying on us to file reports and having GM's watch them. Things could get extremely busy for them.

Someone will ALWAYS hack. It makes them feel superior.. it sucks but it is what it is. If SOE works hard to prevent it they will go play with their hacks in BF3 instead

In the future - report these to devs via PM on the Official forums or here. Or feel free to report them to me, but don't post up links and videos.

I see people walking along at a constant altitude about 50 meters in the air blinking on and off.

If SOE can prove that the hacks,

A. Infringed on their copyright (as Blizzard proved that WoWGlider infringed on Blizzard's patents and copyright).
B. Caused SOE a loss in revenue.

then they are breaking US laws and they can be taken to court.

That's a bug. If you stay logged in after the server goes down, anything that is in motion keeps on moving lol...
