VS Heavy assault cert order help

Hey guys,

Just wanted to get an idea of the order of abilities I should my certs on for my vanu heavy assault come launch. I have played around with things like haydes rocket launcher, 48 cert gun (100 mag one), laser dot, forward grip with the starter gun, nanoweave level 3, etc. but really have no idea what the better unlock path choice would be.

I was kind of thinking along the lines of:
1)48 cert gun + laser dot (not sure if its better then starter w/ foreword grip though)
2)nanoweave-armor level 1,2,3
3)c4
4)medkit 1
5) work on one of the shield abilities(I don’t know what of the 3 is best)
6)no idea from here.

I don’t know how this order looks to any of you, seems like to me it needs improvement. Also I don’t know when it’s a good time to go for the 480 cert lasher.

Any advice on build order is greatly appreciated!

p.s. on a side note: after getting my HA in a solid state would max be worth gearing out at all? It seems like they are a bit lack luster at the moment but then again I could be wrong.

I don't know about the 48 cert gun, but I can tell you, do NOT use the Lasher. It is awful, far worse than the Orion in pretty much all situations. Resist Shield is definitely something you should cert for almost right away, after Nanoweave 1 or 2. It kicks ass. I would honestly go for Restoration Kits, as they're cheaper and seem almost as effective. Can't help you with anything else though, I'm still just starting to get into HA myself.

I guess my order would be

1. Nanoweave 1 and 2
2. Either a new gun or attachments for current one
3. Resist Shield
4. Restoration Kit
5. Explosives you want
6. Whatever

But yea id certainly pimp the gun, get medpacks, get and upgraded shield, im prob gonna go the advanced shield capacitor and then the resist shield.

i havnt used another grenade or C4 though...whats the go with them do they take the grenade slot?

I would think guided rockets would be a high priority.

Except for AA, Maxes aren't so great. You'll kill way more tanks with HA rockets than with an AV MAX. And the VS anti-infantry MAX weapons are total crap right now.

my only piece of advice is make your FIRST purchase no matter what the G2G lock on rocket.... it turns vehicles into XP pinata's you wont regret it i promise.

Thanks for the advice guys!

Ill probably station cash the pulsar and begin running with that.
then with certs:
1)haydes (may use station cash on this depending how much it costs)
2)pulsar upgrades
3)nano-armor 2/3
4)resist shield
5)upgrade shields
6)meds
7)everything else

I agree the Lasher is a Joke. A sexy joke, but still a joke

I've heard good and bad on the hades and it just got a nerf on its lock on range. The AA launcher has a faster travel time, less drop, and only slightly less damage from what I hear.

C4 replaces whatever item you have in your last slot, not your nade. Don't get them at the moment though, only good for killing infantry that are on top of them as they can no longer kill tanks in 2 hits. Concussion nades are pretty nasty though.

Re: VS Heavy assault cert order help

It wasnt really a nerf to the RL. it was more bringing the range of the targeting system in line with the actually firing range of the rockets. i have not noticed a difference when using it other then i wont lock on a target i wont reach.

The Hades gives me a love hate relation ship. I love nuking light tanks and such, 2 shots behind the back = free exp. I HATE going for the heavier armored tanks and sunderers unless i have someone else helping me out. I have noticed that it only takes 1 engineer to out repair your rocket damage with the Hades too.

In the end I use the Hades to take out the lighter tanks and nuke infantry.

The AA launcher sounds like an interesting one to try out or get some more feedback on.

The Nemesis is the VS A2G rocket launcher and probably my new love. Thing shoots dead straight while dumbfire and has a quick travel time. Great to sniping vehicle and unwary enemy troops. Recommended

Some sort of sheild upgrades for sure. Either Nanite Mesh Generator or Resist Sheild

Nano-weave armour 1-2-3

Don't waste your certs on Polaris. I haven't heard great things about it so you're much better off sticking with the Orion to save up for the Pulsar LSW. It's great for longer range engagements because of the stability. Foregrip+scope on this one.
