Magrider weapon choices

Are there any weapons available for the Magrider that compare to the Python HE that's available on the Lightning?

The Magrider has the same main gun options as the other tanks (HE, HEAT, AP), they're just named different things. The HE one is the VPC, I think.

Thanks for the reply! It looks like their general purpose is the same (anti-infantry), but I was wondering if they are as effective as the HE? Do they operate the same? Do they hold more or less ammo? Is the splash damage the same? Things like that. They do not look the same so I figured there may be some performance differences as well.

I don't play VS so I don't really know the ins and outs of the Magrider, but I think generally the three MBTs are balanced in how their stuff works, the main guns just work slightly differently.

For the Magrider, it fires a straighter shot (less arcing), but the weapon is obviously mounted lower and not on a turret. Other than that, I assume the damage, splash, number of shots etc is the same.

The VPC has a much larger splash then the SPC (defualt main cannon) You will have to land your shot rather close to your target if you want to kill them in one hit though. Ammo i beleive is 1/24 without any capacity upgrades. As for dueling armour, pair the VPC with the Saron HRB and you have a multi role magrider, you will still have to land rear shots and hope your gunner lands all of his if you are dueling a vanguard.

Driver Weapon:
VPC -- Anti-Personel: Large Splash Damage
PC -- Middle of the road: Medium Splash Damage
FPC -- Anti-Armor: Very Little Splash Damage

Gunner Weapon

Saron -- Anti-Armor: Direct fire and Laser accurate
Proton PPA -- Anti-Personel: Balls of Death (slower moving)


Personally, PC/Saron or VPC/Saron for everyday use.... FPC/Saron for going up against massive Armor columns.

I've found that a PC/Saron can effectively battle Prowler/Vanguards pretty well, and still be effective against infantry (Saron user has to have a direct hit against infantry, PC near direct or close splash) (Invest in Infra for both weapons for this loadout, more likely to be medium to short range)

If you run VPC/Saron... keep your distance against other tanks... keep backing away and destroy them from long range. You can dodge their shots easier and the Saron is a spot on laser with a good gunner (Make sure to invest in zoom for the Saron, and infra for the VPC.)

Are you able to equip both the Stealth and the Armor for the Mag?

Unfortunately it's one or the other, they both use the defense slot.
