AP mines question

I don't quite understand the mechanics and want to make sure.

For example, I only got a certificate for only one AP mine so far. I'm placing in near a generator and running for resupply.
I've got a feeling that the moment I resupplied, mine that was placed before just disappeared. So, can I only have one active mine, at a time, no matter if it is placed or not? Or am I just don't get it?

Basically, you can only place as many as you're certified for, so in your case you can only have one placed in the world at a time. As soon as you try to place a second one, the first one will disappear.

However, you can switch classes, resupply, anything like that and your mine will stay there. The only things that will get rid of it are placing more than you're certified for (as above), switching continents or logging off.

This confused me for a while so I experimented a bit, resupplying and then going back to where I placed the first mine, to see what happened. As Shade states, your first mine stays in place up until the time you place a second, then it disappears. Resupplying alone should not cause your first mine to disappear though.
