The bew bug free Hawk(shoulder fired AA) is pretty nice.

EDIT: New

It doesnt do much about Libs which are flying tanks but its a great equalizer now against ESF that just want to farm ground troops.

I used one for a long while last night and actually got 3 kills.
It you want kills dont try to solo. what works best is to start shooting missiles into dog fights. But several HA working together should have some success too.

It really shines at chasing away ESF trying to hunt small squads. It seems to take at least 3 hits and that 5 shot probably if they have flares so If your squad has 2 Hawks you wont shoot down a comptent pilot but youll chase him away.

I did solo kill one idiot though He had no flares and was intent on farming engineers reping canons after a Amp Station fight. I would shot he would run too late - then come back - over and over.

So are you saying that now it doesn't bug out and do zero damage, it's actually useful now?

I would still not bother pulling HA just to deter Aircraft. In saying this, i haven't tried it yet since the patch... did they buff them more, or is it just the fact that EFS's have shorter burners now?

Higby said he thought they had finnally fixed the no damage bug in the last hotfix. It seems like they did. pretty much anytime they dont use flares or manage to run the rocket into terrain it hits.

Might give it another go...

Requires 3 rockets to kill, right?

amen brother, the missile launchers now working as far as I've seen at 100% made me do my happy dance
the increase in HA rocket teams to counter vehicle spam has been working well so far for us.
