I have been playing MMOs for lord knows how long now and iv come to learn 1 thing. What server is better for each faction.
Now due to comp issues i havnt been able to log onto PS2 yet to check it out and see how it works but i will start as soon as i get it back up, so i dont know if the term "servers" is correct to this game. If anyone could break down who (race/faction) is best for what server or witch have an even break down so i could get a better idea of what im heading face first into. Im also looking into creating a Medic, kinda sounds like my thing or a sniper. How do they hold up with a partner or small groups? Not to much a fan of large combat, would like the little fights more i believe Thank you for you help and info. |

Don't really think that there is a server that's best for any specific faction, but someone else might be able to give you a better overview on that.
If you want to go where there are a lot of vets then perhaps either Connery (US) or Miller (EU), otherwise just pick one since we just had a merger recently. Also we should be seeing account wide unlocks soon™, so your chosen server probably won't matter that much if you end up deciding to pick another. If you want to avoid big battles either go somewhere other than Indar or avoid the Crown Zerg armies is still where it's at atm.

Pops change at different times. At midday NC might only be 20% then 6 hours later be 35%. So go with what faction you enjoy playing since youll be playing it alot!
It seems you have a mmorpg mindset going into PS2 "How do they hold up with a partner or small groups"... Remember that PS2 is a mmofps with FPS being first. Its more skill then classes, they just change the playstyle a little. Its not a mage with magic, tank with sword/shield, rogue with daggers style of mmo.. Everyone has a gun that shoots bullets and each class functions pretty similar. Medics do very well, a great weapon that does good cqc-med range dmg coupled with a self heal ability and they can rez/heal people for easier certs.. Its a very good class to start off with because you dont need to buy medkits and spend those certs on other things.

Bear in mind that you can change class at-will. Sometimes a different class may be preferable for the situation at-hand.
That being said, medic is one of the better classes to start off with. They get one of the best starter rifles in the game. |

@ bohica
If you are adopting the traditional role of a sniper, then I can recommend the default NC "Bolt Driver" sniper rifle. And no real need to squad up; some advantages to sniping alone just be sure to cert extra ammo). To get the best out of Medic, you'll have to follow the action though; need people to heal/res! |
