spawncamping should be modified to allow for killable spawntubes that require repairs after being destroyed. like in ps1...

I see that fast ROF weapons are king in everyone else's view, but I prefer the heavy-hitters like the Gauss SAW & AC-X11 myself. I've tried the fast-shooters like the Blitz and GD-7F but they are so shitty at range and at close range I'd be better off using a shotgun or just not getting close at all. And for my heavy, the Gauss SAW has the highest damage-per-clip of any stock LMG combined with incredible accuracy... it'll hold a door from 7+ guys just like any other LMG.

... ... Maybe... I'm fine with leaving it as is. But would not argue against changing it to destroyable spawn tubes either. But I think in some bases they need to redesign the spawn tube locations if they can be destroyed. As some of them might be a little bit too easy to destroy otherwise.

2. They are unbalanced. NC has massive populations. The weapon are not unbalanced. 2 words: Gauss SAW. 3. Try before you buy center. That's it. 4. They are. So how does that make anything broken? lol 5. Haven't had much issue here anymore. Sundy spawn invincibility really helped things. |

Firstly you think the games broken because of Nc weapons lol. You will NEVER fix spawn camping, its been happening since BF1942. Hell even before that!
I laugh when someone says Nc weapons suck.. its generally that players individual skill that does, NC weapons are great, they don't suffer horrid recoil of tr guns because of rof, they have high velocity rounds.. guass rifle is 650 that's in the top 5 fastest guns in the game. They do tons of dmg which helps kill your enemy fast with burst dps. If you have trouble playing as Nc.. that factions playstyle isn't for u then.

2) Yeah, its' because NC is the most popular faction. I've stopped griping about our weaknesses. Instead, i'll wait for the MLG tournaments. That's a better message to SOE to balance the factions TR and NC differ by not much. It's the Vanu that's severely buffed. They just buffed the Magriders and Vanu weapons on the last GU. 3) Yeah, moving VR NPCs / Vehicles would be a better simulation. 4) TRay tweeted that there would be different faction models eventually. The devs in general have talked in the past about different walk animations etc. I also believe there would be more "asymmetrical" balancing for the faction in the future. Just check out the new Max abilities that should be coming out soon. Also if you haven't seen the new faction-specific-rocket-launcher, check that out too in the VR. 5) They've shut down some windows of the spawnrooms which is bad, in particular Ti Alloys, which is bad. But in general, like the Amp Station and Tech plants, there are plenty of holes you can come out off. Have you seen the tunnels leading out the major facility spawn rooms? |

Whatever the balance discussion here by no means this game is "broken". Broken means that a game becomes unplayable.
Fact is that since the OP has left the game it has become more playable than ever before. Weapon balance has improved considerably and is more infantry focused, performance has increased for many, the new Alert system is a breath of fresh air, GUI is a lot better now and quite a few cool toys were added. And NC being the most popular faction on many servers is not exactly a sign of their guns "basically suck ass vs anything in comparison on the other two factions". |

Out of the VS and TR, I'm not to decide which one is better. But having a 200 damage LMG as a stock weapon, dude you need to just sit down and shut up. Gauss SAW for Carv? Deal. Mercenary for Trac 5? Thought I would just post in this troll thread... OP hasn't posted since the first time.
Only legitimate issue that was brought up is spawn camping.. but they have done a lot to try to make this better. It's still not perfect, but miles better than it was before. |

Broken? No, not even close. I dislike it when people use the word "broken" incorrectly when it comes to video games... Along with "half finished".
The game is not currently "broken" in any shape or form. The only times one could make the argument was when a patch introduced instability across the board. The only issue that I agree with is the spawncamping.

I think the problem with PS2 is more fundamental than it's unbalanced weapons and classes.
The problem with PS2 is that it's become very infantry-oriented. There are other games out there that handle infantry combat MUCH better than PS2 can. |
