Ok so in PS there 3 major factions, and minor outfits under those factions right?
Is the sole pupose for joining an outfit to make micromanaging the war an easier task? Is it just so you can play with friends? Will opposing outfits set up places to duke it out? Or will the conflict be more random and by chance you might come across an "arch enemy"? |

Basically, yes to everything you just said.
Some people will join outfits for the sole reason of being more organised, others will join just to be with their friends, and still others will join for a combination of the two. Opposing outfits will, most likely, develop grudges and start having outfit wars. If the outfits are large enough, they may even take up a whole continent with an outfit war, though that is a bit unlikely. One thing that we might see is the larger/more organised outfits taking over a base and 'claiming' it as their own. Sort of like a home base. Then opposing outfits of other empires might develop a grudge against that outfit and start focusing on that one base. The base itself might not have much of a strategic advantage, just a psychological one. Finally, if you're in an outfit that doesn't really bother with trying to hunt down their arch nemesis, you will most likely randomly run across them at different intervals anyways. |
