Need advice on a new gun

I'm not a fan of the Gauss Saw. I see the draw that it has by other factions becuase when it hits it hits like a truck.

For NC the only LMG that is NC specific that I like is the EM6. The NS-15m is great and if you buy it with SC you can use it on all 3 factions... although the VS really don't need it. For up close the Jackhammer is amazing now. The faster fire rate on the 3x burst will drop people fast, but the down side is that there is a sizable delay between bursts. The NS-15m and Jackhammer are also heavy specific while the SMGs can be used by all classes and the shotguns all but the infiltrator.

It comes down to personal preference. If you got the cyclone and you like it then it will work for you. I see heavies running around with SMGs from time to time.

Aye the SAW is pretty crappy really, its got nice range but if I want to snipe I'll load up a infiltrator, as for the damage.. well it hits hard but the bpm and recoil are insane so the dps is much lower than that of other guns (like all guns for NC it seems).

The idea seems to have been that NC has the heavy hitting guns but VS an TR guns hit a little bit less but shoot 3 or 4 bullets for every 2 ours shoot as such THEY do more damage while also having less recoil. They could do with just plain boosting the damage on all the NC heavy guns at least (not played other classes much so can't speak for them really).

On topic a bit more I am tempted to get a shotgun but its something I'll be getting down the line probably as its a very situational gun being only short range. The EM6 I want to try but when I try to trial it, it just says 26 days remaining till trial and I can't select it in VR so I have no idea how good it is so don't want to waste 500 certs to see if its good.
