Planetside1 and Playstation 4

Could it be possible that Planetside1 could benefit from the larger player base of Playstation4? If so would SOE be willing to include it as a PS4 game? Opinions?

Why would you spend the money to port a 10 year old game to a new platform(a platform that will require significant certification and testing)? A game with old graphics and almost no remaining player base.

SOE isnt in the business of just tossing its money away on purpose.

I doubt that they would spend any time on getting PS1 onto the PS4.

They still haven't even gotten PS2 on PS4 yet. But I'd imagine trying to put PS1 on PS4 would be a greater task because they haven't planned for it as they have for PS2.

Just be glad they are still keeping PS1 alive at all given the fact SOE announced yesterday they are shuttering 4 games.

I'm happy about the Planetside news and even if nobody else is online I plan on hopping in for a while at least.

Yup, and on April 2nd or around that it will be a full free to play thanks to that new subscribe system SOE is putting out.

Smed said that on a redit AMA that PS1 is going F2P when all of that hits.

It would never happen. And PS1 wouldn't work on consoles anyways. People have tried in the past to hook up gamepads for the game and it just doesn't work. There's far too many things that you can do in PS1 and a control limits you way too much.
