I recieved the Open Beta acceptance a couple of days ago. I've been scouring the official page but I can't find any information on what ports PlanetSide uses.
I'm going to be playing off a college campus. We have a router, firewall, and a PacketShaper and as such, I need to give our CIT department the ports PlanetSide needs to be able to play. One of my friends here down the hall got a letter for Exclusive Beta a few days ago and because the port info isn't available, he can't even connect to the login server. |

cant you download something to tell you what ports are open closed etc. - so it'll say which port Planetside is trying to use?
look for tcpview from www.sysinternals.com |

I'm not sure that'll work.
I was an EQ player once. And with EQ, each time you connected, the port was randomly chosen. This being the reason why EQ requires all ports from 1023 and up to be open. I'm guessing since both are run by Sony, that they may have the same way of connecting. |
