Apparently both www.google.com and www.download.com don't exist anymore. WTF...My internet's been fucked all day. Anyone else having troubles?

Don't even get me started on the Internet.... Trust me.. I could bitch for days... and shogun can back me up on this one... (because I have been bitching)

Basically I have a Packet Pirate stealing my packets (usualy 75% of em) for about 2 and 1/2 weeks now, I've had the technicians come over 3 times already and still no fix... they say its noise in thier network..... but anyways... I havent been able to do anything but surf the internet (games like to keep thier packets and so do chat programs)

you want mad??!!!! I'M MAD!!!! I'M GONNA GET THE PS CD AND I WON'T BE ABLE TO PLAY IT UNTIL ITS FIXED!!!!

My internet connection dies alot too, mostly in the middle of the night when I'm playing MP games, pisses me off.

my google.com goes directly to google.ca maybe because im in canada but thats bullshit because i still should be able to get google.com

DSL is horrible, I had it for about a year and had issues with it nightly. I switched to Cable and I have only had 2 problems in the last 2 years. Both times it was the modem that died not the ISP.

depends on your environment. I had DSl at an apartment not too long ago. You wouldn't believe the connection adn the stability that I had.

It was completely insane. I didn't have a bad ping anywhere.

Moved to a new apartment (but older building) and had problems with DSL cause the phone lines were older and couldn't handle the data stress.

Got cable, but on friday and sat nites between 7pm and 11pm i couldn't do squat cause cable is a shared bandwidth with your neighbors.

Now I am in a house runnin' cable, and I think I'm the only one in the area with it cause good gawd i ping wonderfully.

So, Just look at your environment and determine what's best for you. normally in apartment complexes, u want dsl cause u don't share the bandwidth.
