Beta News update

Server and Patch Status (Friday, 3:30 pm)

Just letting you know we're still alive and kicking.

During the process of testing the patch for you, we've uncovered some zone crash issues that have been extremely elusive. This is such a lucky bonanza (we'd been chasing one of those bugs for over a week), that we're taking the time now to fix the bug before finalizing the patch.

Just FYI so you know what you're waiting for...more updates (and a real ETA hopefully) very soon.

Further patch and status updates will be described here, rather than in the forums, so you can all find that status more easily.

Hehehe...I'm glad i am at work, so i don't feel like the servers are taunting me.

I just hope they are back up before 6:30 cst!

Don't worry. I'll bet 7 cents that the servers are still down when you return home from work.

I am a SWG beta tester too. The Devs in SWG are real good about giving us ETA's on the server status. As soon as they know their ETA is incorrect they give you their best guess right away. When you go into the chat room in SWG the banner is correct 95% of the time.

In PS beta the banner won't change for a day. It may say the servers are down... but they are up.... it may say the servers are up, but they are down.

The PS Devs will say the server will be up soon....then 5 hours later they are still down. I wish they would at least give us a rough estimate... I know they can.

If i know the servers are going to be down for at least 5 more hours, i could go grab a beer or two with some friends instead of sittin infront of the damn screen waiting for the game to come up.
