i had a question about this stuff

on newegg it says it's for CPUs, but i hear people using them on GPUs.

will i hurt anything if i apply this to my video card?

It's a thermal transfer compound, so it can be used for anything you want to cool.

One thing I would caution everyone on, is the fact that silver conducts electricity well. If I were you, I'd look at the Arctic Alumina thermal compound. You won't have any silicon goop that you have to put over your pins and there's only about a 1 to 2 degree temperature difference between the two. That is if you're going to be using it for your Video RAM.

To say it conducts electricity well is a bit of an overstatement.

Just follow the instructions and you'll never have a problem.

it does conduct electricity very well, if you get it on any part of the motherboard, certain areas of the CPU or gfx card etc. (especially the legs of the ram) then you may as well throw it away, be very careful with it.
