ok I downloaded the file, I logged in with the station ID.

It pops up a screen asking me to subscribe to planetside.

Then I login with station id again (in a browser style window)

and I get this:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /psidebeta/acctkey/pside_beta_acctkeyform.jsp on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

So in other words, NONE of you will be getting into the beta
till they fix this.

Yeah I'm getting the same error message, Sony Customer Service told me that the servers were offline, but I bet that's just some bull answer they give to make me go away. The download count on the open beta is like over 65k now, and planetside.com says they expect a 20k open beta, so I'm sure there's a correlation there.
If anyone is also getting this error message, but then somehow gets in past that damn forbidden screen. please post here to give other people hope. haha

The install program sends you to a fileplanet webpage
that has the account key.

Doesn't matter, because Sony has disable the account
key input screen to stop new accounts.

I just sent an email the [email protected]

address on the beta website. I doubt it will accomplish
anything though.

I had all my friends come over to play Planetside for the first time.

And after hours of agonining they fixed it and I can play.

It is AWESOME. Defiantely worth the wait.

I have a 500 Mhz. PIII processor and the game is still playable for me.
Granted in big fire fights I choke up like crazy but I can still enjoy the game most of the time.

I can't download it, it takes 4 hours to get to 12% and then freezes. Happened twice, and so far i've tried to download about 20 times overall, and 3 times it worked and got to 12% and then froze. Gay fileplanet can't handle the people trying to download it. Bad idea on fileplanet's part to have open beta downloadable from them. Anywhere else that ps beta is downloadable?

Jeez... only 1400 people in front of me before I can download.

But the worst part is, every time I get down to <100 people it bumps me back to "There is a line. Wait? Yes/No", and it's starting to piss me off. I've waited in something like 5 lines for over 6 hours - at least let me start the fraggin download, you cheap bileplant bastiches! ()@%(@#$()*%)#@&(*$!!!!
