Well, its simple really. The market keeps expanding. The EQ model of bending the customer of the table and having your way with them will not function much longer. Even EQ realized this and has slowly been changing their ways.

But for some reason, you developers think you can get away with giving us the old anal sausage massage.

Well my friends, not this time. Two weeks ago I was a rabid, ravening PS fan. I had my own outfit, was writing fan fiction, and had even begun working on my circle of friends to suck them in as well.

I just finished warning off my friends, and I consider this a bit of closure on the subject of Planetside.

Sporkfire, enjoy your precious "curves and projections." I hope your "observations of the exp gain curves" will pay your electric bill and put food on the table, because my 13 bucks a month (x5 for my friends who would have bought, + the 100 or so bucks SOE would have seen for our box purchases) sure as HELL is not going to a bunch of blatant liars such as yourselves. You've broken our faith in you. After this debacle, I can not trust the Planetside development team.

Hell, lets say you DO increase exp rewards to a reasonable level, and remove this INSANE exp splitting idea. Who's to say its not just another bait and switch, and a month down the line once you have my box money and have me locked in to a three month, you don't nerf it right back down again.

Screw that. I can get the same gameplay without the being sodomized from BF1942. I would have prefered the Planetside setting and I loved the game before you guys got hold of that bad acid at E3 and screwed it up, but now I won't play until it hits the Earth and Beyond level (part of a four game package on sale for 13 dollars at costco, free month included). And thats only if the other three games are GOOD.

What's up with people coming to bitch here lately?? If you have a problem with the Devs, EMAIL THE DEVS!!! This isn't SmokeJumper's, Sporkfire's, or Twist's forum, it's Hamma's. You people act like this is where all the devs spend their free time. Get a grip.

btw, I got to br 5 and half way to cr1 tonight with a moderate play time, and I was hacking, so you know I didn't just go rack up bep in a max or something. This included 3500 bep for one base we took and 2600 cep for another base, even with only 4 people in the squad. Experience points are fine. If you felt it was your right to be at br 20 within a week or that your personal preferences override the rest of the players in the game, then I am glad that I will not be seeing you there.

Have a happy life. And if you can't manage that, then at least whine somewhere else (perhaps to the people you are mad at next time).

You would think that people who had been beta players would have caught on by now. XP gain in beta was artificially inflated to get more people up into the higher battleranks so they could see what the game would play like after a month or two. Getting to br14 in a week (as I did) was insane.

So the br has slowed down. Big deal. You can still get a good set of skills with low br, you just have to play that skill set a little longer before you can branch out. Or set up your 4 characters with the various skill sets you like and play them all.

People who are into PS for nothing but leveling are a curious breed indeed.

Internet Connectivity-Ok this is a prereq for playing planetside and on the whole might be a better value but i think you could do without this one. Doing so whould keep you off my board.

Ok, one more bitch about the XP bitchers.

A couple things..

1) we were playing BETA, the devs aren't screwing you or anybody else out of anything because we were playing the game for free for the sake of bettering gameplay and QA for release.

2) XP comes just about as fast now as it did during closed beta. You may not get much for killing anymore, but i mean, i was getting between 1800 and 2500 for resecuring bases last night! At one point you didn't get ANYTHING for doing that, and even when they first started giving XP bonuses for resecurring you got like a puny 300 points or something.

3) Even if the devs bloated XP for the sake of us leveling faster in beta, that is fine because well we have more than a few weeks now to hit br20 now that the game is released, but that isn't even an issue though really because with the XP bonuses for base securing and whatnot. I already ripped through the first few BRs as fast as I did in beta.

4) This is a FPS.

Well remember you can get to BR3 just by going through VR and trying out all the weapons and vehicles, they haven't nerfed the exp bonuses on those
