Ya'll be careful what you post in the PS official forums. I just got 2 accounts(main and the 7 day free trial) on suspension/banned there for posting.

I am only posting this here because I can't log on there and warn anyone.

Anyway, I guess I'll be hanging out here for the next week since obviously I'm a very bad boy according to SOE.

I'm regretting buying it

Its not the same experience (no, not experience points!) as beta. I was going to keep the box sealed untill the devs addressed the exp issue, but I was really bored today and cracked it open, ugh. I already canceled my account, they have 29 days to fix it.

I'm pretty sure not, but...

I wonder if anyone's thought of repeatedly exchanging PS for the same thing over and over

I'm wondering the same thing, has anyone been able to return an opened MMO game? I know some places are pretty liberal in their software return policies.

You could always try and ebay someone will proboly buy it if you include the ID/PASS you have already registerd.

Wow, since I played the beta quite rabbidly up till the very end I've been sort of on the edge of getting PS. I've been reading the official forums, I'm sort of surprised that they'll let "outsiders" read the forms the way they rule with an iron fist. You must have jabbed them one two many times. Funny, they didn't delete your mini poll thread "Curious, how many are discontent with the current game to not renew?"

You weren't "ping ponging" with your spare account were you? They seem plenty pissed off about that exploit.

Well, if you read the rules and policies section I didn't break any rules. If you read the community policies section I'm guilty of alot of infractions. Me and anyone else that posted anything negative, posted numerous posts (regardless of topic) or any unwanted messages.

When you look at it for a bit you see it pretty much means you can't post anything in a negative nature about an SOE policy. You also can't post much.

If you violate any of those rules they can take several actions, including banning you from playing the game.

Basicaly I've learned from this that if you don't agree with something SOE has done, don't post it on their boards. They only want things there that praise them, anything else can get you in trouble.

I've learned never to post on their boards again, that's for sure.

AFAIK, no store in my area accepts returns on MMO games, because there is no way to know if the person used the CD-key and made the game completely un-saleable.

And just curious, but why do you feel entitled to make bitch threads on the official forums?

yeah, bitch threads = sux and SOE is right to get those guys outta there, but whats rather ghey is banning someone whose just stating opinions on the game, which are marked as such (opinions), as long as that is established SOE should have no reason do delete threads or ban users... but again... totally up to them... just makes them look bad i guess...

I don't feel I was making "bitch" threads.

I honestly enjoy this game, once I hit high enough BR I can get my character some flexibility. Until then it's like a treadmill and I dont' have much fun. I forsee a very bright future for the game.

That being said, I felt very cheated when they changed exp on day one after I went out and bought the game. I honestly believed the stuff they told us in beta about exp and I was convinced they didn't want to slow it down. So I spent my 55 dollars. Then I play and see the exp. Go to the boards to find out what's up and I read the post by the head honcho guy that they intended to lower the exp from the very beginning.

It was like being punched in the gut. Here I had faith and trust in them and what they said, spent my money based on this trust and was rewarded with lies. So I posted (without reading all the rules and fine print type stuff, silly me) to express my displeasure.

Yeah, a few times I got sarcistic, but I was really upset with the way they treated me. I honestly wasn't worried because I was in no way the only person with the same reaction. After the post about them realizing a few (I woudln't have used that word) people were upset I toned down alot. I posted alot of other things no related to exp. I still expressed some opinons on exp in others threads but I never started another exp thread.

I realize now I should have read the board rules and not have expressed my opinon. They had my 55 dollars and I should of just accepted it and hoped the game would get better. Instead I spoke up hoping they might consider the situation as I viewed it and make a change.

Instead they made light of what many people were saying and then resorted to suspending us when we didn't get the hint to shut up. The board rules are so ambiguous that they pretty much can take action against almost everyone if they deem to.

I'm really upset of this whole ordeal. I'd return the game if I could and hope they fix things later. I can't get my 55 dollars back so I tried to input my thoughts and point of view on the situation. This got me suspended though. Now I realize that I really have no right to an opinon in the matter. I took a gamble and lost and now I just have to accept the cost of it. The only hope I have is that one day the game is fun again.

Next week I get orders to go to my new unit. I won't be able to play for I dont' know how long at that point. Maybe when I am able to play again things will be different and the game will be fun. If not I'll just have to use this as one more reason why I'll never buy another SOE product again.
