Runtime errors = fun times. Are you using XP? First step suggest re-apply Windows SP1 if so. What kind of video/sound you got?

Make sure your disc isn't scratched. There was a batch of scratched disc that went out.

If your discs are scratched do the following.

Spray windex(I used the stuff with rainex in it) on your disc and clean them up. If that doesn't work try rubbing toothpaste on the scratches add water if it gets dry and keep doing it until you don't get the gritty feel anymore, then compeltely rinse and dry the CD. If that doesn't work and even if it does go to this link and follow the directions. They sent me a new copy of Planetside, EQOA, and EQ Trilogy.

There's a batch of cd's that don't work they aren't scratched they just don't plain work. Mine comes up with a bazillion CRC errors this is a known issue listed on the planetside site (someone posted the link above). Maybe it's something to do with that, In that case you gotta wait for em to send you new cd's

well that sucks hope the ones they send me work, they gotta send em all the way over to australia I don't really want to have to get replacements for the replacements. If that happens I'm just gunna take them back to the shop and get a refund due to faulty goods.

so anyway i got to thinking, i've managed to install it from the cd's! Well not exactly, ripped the cds to an iso using nero express and then mounted the image with d-tools. Guess what it installed with no errors! woohoo! so maybe if anyone else has this problem they can do the same

EDIT: forgot to mention that just simply copying the files from the cd's to your hdd didn't work you have to make the image file, I'm not sure what happens if you burn the images back to cd, just mount them it's easier

Sony is sending people cd's with scratches on purpose. My cd had a giant gash in it. I kinda figured i would have problems with it but i tried to install it anyway. I got some kind of cylic error or something. It's on the official planetside site under known issues. I talked to someone at sony and they said they would send me a disc by friday at the latest. it's now monday. i called them again and they said it would be tuesday at the latest. wtf. I heard they are doing this cause planetside is not finished and they are stalling to fix the lag and crashes and crap! I know one other person who got a damaged disc and other people have posted the same problem.
