Ok, i was given a possible fix to my generic application error, and i was told to enter BIOS and "load fail safe defaults". First off, is this safe, and could it help with errors? Second, how the F would i do this.

Yes it's safe, and yes it could help fix errors.

What kind of computer do you have though? Getting to the bios is different on certain computers.

Press delete as the machine boots up, it will take you to the bios

That's not always the case. Some of the pre-built machines like dell/gateway are alt+f1 and some are something totally different.
