Wrong. First of all you need the shitz of money, drums cost hella. You need to be creative. You cnat play the same beat over and over. And sometimes you dont even need to be able to keep a beat that well. You can make somethign totally off-beat and it will sound awesome. INfact, most of drumming is off-beat. If you play on-beat the entire time you would sound like an idiot. The key to being a good drumming is mixing off-beat and on-beat.

Exactly, most people never get to listen to the rappers with true talent though because they don't always sell the most records. Groups like Jurassic 5, The Roots, Outkast, Talib Kweli and Mos Def are some of the best examples of great rap.

BTW, I agree, Murder Inc. is pure BS.
I completely agree. J5, Talib and Mos Def are genius lyricists, and you can't say that they have no talent. Not all rap is about Women, Weed, Cash and Ego, some of it's about life, love, fun etc...(But a lot better than self harm and 'Worthless life' BS that goth shit talks about)

People that don't actually listen to it are narrow minded when talking about it. Some commercial stuff is good though, such as DMX (Not that commercial), Joe Budden, a bit of Busta and some Wu-Tang.

But Ja Rule!!!??? AAAAHHHHHHHH

hell yah drumming is hard, im a drummer (a noob) been playing around 4 or 5 months. Its hard as hell, because you ahve to keep rythm with your entire body, or jsut have your right hand, and your left foot moving together, while your right hand hits the cymbal way above ur head, and ur right foot scratches your ass.

it may look easy, but if you ever try it, you'll b blown away witht he ammount of skill/energy it takes to be a good drummer.

First of all, all good instruments cost a LOT of money. Seriously, a good good guitar 1000+ easily. A good good sax 2000+ easily, so drums arent an exeption.

Secondly, you have to be creative with all instruments as well.

Third, yes you can make something totally off beat sound awesome, but that is because it misses the beat, but still stays at the same bpm. Its synchopated! im talking about being able to keep a steady beat at the same speed throughout the entire song (unless of course the song changes speed).

Look i know a lot about music, and thats because i write music and play lets see, 5 instruments pretty well.
