Want my advice on SW:G??

Don't buy it, at first it looked nice... then there was this huge rush to the gold for newbies aka SW:G's doom.

They bitched and whinned and finnaly got their way, just like Ultima online. So the carebears won... wich would now mean the end of the big faction pvp zones and the start of limited pvp zones for ONLY factions and no looting...

Then they finnaly announced they would cut some of the features they had announced a year before, mounts for example... oh you can tame them... just can't ride em yet (-_-'). I have wasted alot of time following this game and let me tell you it aint worth it... it really isnt.. since the carebear rush the no pvp zones were implemented no looting policy they made jedi's capable of killing a squad of 20 when low lvl.

Stick with planetside do not go to the carebear side!

That vaporware myth is old news sir, check out their website. Atari is their publisher and I'm in the beta. The game owns.

opinion:

SWG is ok. Still in beta and no Jedi have been introduced yet, so no way of knowing whats what with those..and anyone making it to actual Jedi status is no longer Low-level by any stretch.

It strongly depends on your focus. It aint EQ in space as so many have touted it...nor is it Unreal Tourney with a StarWars tilt either. More like UO than anything else, but even that is a stretch.
PvP is NOT the primary focus, altho you'd be hard pressed to say what the primary focus of the game actually is at this point. Stuff changes daily.

Its different and I strongly recommend waiting until its out before judging it.

EQ = never again

I played until... level 20 or so. So a few weeks. Quit right after and never looked back. Anyone who gets addicted to a game as bad as EverQuest needs to get their head and their ass wired back together, because they're definitely not thinking clearly.

As for MMORPGs coming out, just wait for WoW. Given that Blizzard has the talent and committment to make sure WoW lives up to Blizzard's lofty reputation, it is the only MMORPG you can be absolutely sure it'll rock.
