subscription question

when you buy a subscription to PS to play it are you able to cancel your subscription whenever you want, so they don't keep charging your card? My mom is all worried that you can't cancel at any time and will not let me use her credit card unless I can prove you can. HELP!!!

yes you can cancel, once you cancel any time remaining on your account will be creditied and after you will no longer be able to play.

so if i pay for one month and cancel right after i pay they close the account and i get screwed over, and I can't play or will I get o play for the month i paid for even if I cancel right after I pay for it.

afaik if you subscribe to a month and they take the money out you will get a months play, if you subscrib to a month and cancel immediately with no money being taken out you will not get the month, what exactly are you afraid of happening? they cant simply keep taking money if you cancel your subscription, you'll get what you pay for basically

i know all of this but my mom doesn't believe me,iIf she doesn't see it in plain site, thats why i am asking this to show her that what I said is true. Otherwise she will not let me use her card.

Oh , c'mon mom! This is good clean fun and we're talking Sony here. They have no reason, being a multi billion dollar corporation, to over charge your card. You want to cut the kid off, they'll stop charging you. They are not in this business to squeek a few bucks out of youngster's parents. They rely on hundreds of thousands of regular, long term subscribers.

You do have to be very cautious about using your credit card online. Sony is trustworthy. Use your card to buy clothes online or by telephone? Bigger risk there than with Sony.

Thanks CapZap my mom reed this and said that I told you to say this and that you were one of my friends, so I had to go out and buy a PS game card. Wasn't a bad deal 33 dollars for 3 months (employee discount at gamestop you pay 41 dollars, so don't get to excited). Thanks anyway though.

They let me buy animes, movies, and what not online, yet they wouldn't let me get the sub for PS. Go figure, they let me do the unsafe purchase but a secure purchase for an online subscription noooooo.
