Packetloss on 600k Cable?

While in game i am playing normally and then all of a sudden (not necessarily in a battle, seomtimes just sitting in a GAL) i get an error message.

"You are experiencing packet loss, etc"

Freezes with this error message for about 2mins then says the famous words "You have left the gaming world" and im stuck back onto the Server list wondering what the hell happened? Had this problem with games suck as CS, UT, etc but then i went bought BroadBand 600k. Up to now ive had absolutely no problems?


-Operating System version : WinXP Pro SP1

-CPU : AMD Athlon 1700+ XP
-Motherboard : GA-7VTXH+ Gigabyte Motherboard
-RAM : 512Mb DDR PC2100 (two sticks of 256)
-Hard Drive : 40Gb 7200RPM
-CD-ROM/DVD/CD-RW : 52x Samsung CD-ROM / CDR-W/DVD Samsung Drive
-Video card : PNY GeForce4 Ti4200 (latest drivers and latest directX avail to download)
-Modem : External Cable Modem (NTL *sigh*)
-Network adapters : Linksys BEFSR41 Switch (working as Gateway)
-Input devices : Sidewinder 3D Pro
-Connection speed: 600k NTL

It's probably just coming from the server...

Also make sure you're playing on one of the servers that is close to you. (As in: don't play on west coast US when you're in England )

Im playing on werner (the european one) and when you crash every 20-30mins kinda makes u not wanna keep at it :/
