*Before you read this, please note that this post has nothing to do with nerfing or not nerfing the jackhammer.

The Jackhammer is obviously very powerful. I see alot of my fellow NC use it. The Jackhammer is essentialy a much improved sweeper. The sweeper is also used alot. Now, what is a much improved Jackhammer? The NC AI max. It has a much bugger shotgun and three different spreads, allowing it to fire at longer ranges than a shotgun should be able to. The odd thing is, even as enticing as this MAX sounds, (What could be better than a more powerful Jackhammer?) I rarely see it used. People always use the NC AV max that fires missles. I personaly have tried all three, and I can truthffully say that the AI max's shotgun is raw ownage. I wasen't that impressed with the AV missle launcher's capabilitys at infantry supression. Why do so many NC use the AV max when only a few use the AI max?

People are dumb. simple as that ive seen NC AI MAX's trying to kill me with the short range setting at 100m +. They are either Unaware of its 3 range settings or think its automatic

I assumed it was because the Falcon MAX does a much better job against other MAXes. For infantry, though, yeah - the Scattercannon's very nice.

Its because msot people aren't aware it has 3 settings so they think it has really short range when it has longer range settings

I find it unlikely that people are that stupid. I always thought that the average n00b max player (not saying they all are n00bs) gets a fealing of power by making big explotions, regardless of how much dammage the explotion does. Some people just like explotions. I understand where they are comming from.

I actually don't know why NC tend to shy away from the Scattercannon, that damn thing is absolute murder up close, while the Falcon is like a liability with feet. However, it is possible that you are reffering to the Sparrow MAX, which is extremely popular, since it can do a number on MAXes, Infantry and light armor while still being very good at AA.

The scattercannon max can eat Infantry in about 3-5 shots close range, sit back and change it to snipe mode you will be shootin till your clip runs out or until u read those beautiful red letters "missle lock"...., the AV max is nice for takin out those damn wall turrets from far range or when u spot a enemy AMS and u can jus find a nice spot and bomb the hell out of it, the AA one is my Reaver Killer ... try to kill anything else with it and your pretty much dead real quick
