the number of bases per continent?

Hi everyone - first post here, but i have lurked for quite a while.

What i was wondering was if we have any idea, as of yet, of the number of bases there will be per continent? In addition - are warp gates between the continents shared by all three armies? if they are (which smoke seemed to imply in a post recently posted by MrVicchio), how is the resulting confusion which must exist at that point dealt with?

There are probably around 15 or so bases per continent.

^^ that is a screen I took of Cyssor, its just one continent.

As for warp gates, yes many of them are used by ALL empires (the ones that are not, are direct connections to sanctuarys, it would really serve no purpose for an enemy empire to go back through it, you cannot fire weapons in a sanctuary).. they are huge and really cannot be used as choke points.. Im not sure what you mean by resulting confusion

the 'resulting confusion' was more along the lines of, two armies from different sides cross pathes at the warp gate, each on their way to attack the others base ...

Yea this is true, u cannot battle INSIDE the warp gate.

But that doesent mean you wont run into an army on your way to/from a warp gate

you cannot fire weapons in a sanctuary

So a guy from VS could go hang out in the TR sanctuary?

Also, in that screenshot of Cyssor, there seems to be no VS sanctuary warpgate?

the VS warpgate was on another continent.. the sanctuary does not directly link to every continent on the map

I am not sure what happens if you try to go through another teams sanctuary warpgate. Never tried it, and I dont think it has been covered
