DirectX 9.0a OK?

Hello,

Who out there is using the newer DirectX 9.0a instead of the original 9.0 that ships with PS? Have you had any problems? I'm hesitant to install the new version, but I'm wondering if it might make the game more stable. Anything is worth a shot at this point, so I figured I'd ask around. Has anyone out there been brave, or foolish, enough to test it? I'd love to hear from you.

You're able to install it? I have Windows XP, and everytime I try to install it, it says it isn't compatible, even though they say it supports it. Is it my computer, or a bug in their system?

Had the same problem here. Tried to install and got an error saying it wouldn't be installed. Last week I installed a new CPU and 1 gig memory ... took care of the system lag.

I also reinstalled Windows XP and was able to install DirectX 90a without any problems.
