to burst your bubble, a lightning bolt is so powerful that we cannont yet replicated it, but the only thing that comes close to replicating it is a small nuke, it burns at 5 million degrees and has enough power to do what it did just yesterday, i dont think a terrorist can do that, mother nature is one strong bitch

BTW. a Nuke when exploding, is 1 million degrees, a lightning bolt is just as hot as the sun, the reason you dont see us all dieing and frying is because lightning bolts come and go so fast, and they never really strike someone dead on, but come close, thats why sometimes people live, but then there are times when it does come close to striking them head on and they will die

Not that i don't believe you but could you explain to those of us who don't know how lightning rods and other things often hit by lightnining survive after being hit by something that's as hot as the sun?

Nukes are nearly 500 times hotter then your guess...
http://people.howstuffworks.com/nuclear-bomb8.htm

At the hypocenter, everything is immediately vaporized by the high temperature (up to 500 million degrees Fahrenheit or 300 million degrees Celsius).
Lightning on the otherhand is about 53,000 Fahrenheit.
http://hypertextbook.com/facts/1999/DavidFriedman.shtml (still looking into more info on this one, that number seems way too low, but I know a lightning bolt is not 500 million degrees...)
