Thumbs up energy ammo

since Vanu use energy ammo are their armor piercing types like a more concentrated beam that goes deeper? How do the different ammo types work with Vanu?

One generic type of ammunition, but the gun has different fire modes.

i'm sure vanu will have AP "rounds" and normal ones to make things even.

the in-game explanations for gameplay decisions aren't really important to me.

From the Vanu inventories I've seen, they only have a single type of ammunition. Also, their guns actually say that they have an AP setting. So with a bit of deductive reasoning, I'm sure that, at least before (might have changed), the Vanu did not have actual AP energy rounds.

The VS weapons all use one ammo type, if you look at the screenies you'll see a VS packing tons of 1 ammo type in, that's because VS only have 1 ammo, energy. (Would be kinda stupid to have energy ammo and powerful energy ammo. )

Nope, all VS is one energy type (well maybe not the lasher, not sure on that one.) But they have settings on the beamer for AP. The rifle proably has an AP setting as well. The Lancer is an anti-vehicle weapon, only one setting, which kills vehicles and MAX's well. The Lasher is a strange weapon, and most likely does not have an AP setting. Im not sure but I think the diff weapons might just use a diff amount of energy per shot, like the lancer using 10 energy per shot, the rifle 2 and the beamer 1, with the lasher somewhere in there.

If the Vanu want AP, use common pool weapons.

Or the AP mode on our weapons.

And for a little fact to back up my speculat- er, uh, knowledge:

quote on the beamer:
Beamer
Source: Vanu Sovereignty
Handling: Energy Pistol
Damage: High
Maximum Range: Short
Refire Rate: Medium

The Beamer is the handy sidearm of the Vanu Sovereignty. It uses energy cells instead of regular ammunition, and thus has some flexibility over other sidearms. It can be converted from a regular energy blaster to a more focused, armor piercing shot that consumes more energy. Thus, it is good for regular close-in firefights as well as a reasonable anti-vehicular weapon.

The heavier weapons either use more energy per shot, or they have a different kind of energy ammunition. It could go either way.
