Lately, inspired by the Reveller POD video, I created a VS Cloaker/CE character on Markov.

However, I have played cloakers once to twice before, and now, it seems, more than ever, EVERYONE has DarkLight, Spec Assault, and a healthy amount of paranoid. (Hey! I think I saw something! Lets shell the #^(^ out fo the area!)

Now, I'm not crying out for a nerf, but I think since the Balance patch and everyone picking up SA, the difficulty level for cloakers has risen quite high.

However, I could just suck.

I didn't encounter any bugs. I'm just saying everyone on PS who isnt in an InfSuit is a paranoid bastard.

However, I'm always happy to learn about bugs I havnt yet found. <CuriousAboutMentionedBugs>

Don't worry, cloakers are known to be facing unfair opposition and it is in the works to make the game more balanced in regards to them.

For now, try making a different kind of character, perhaps the kind you want to learn how to fight against when the time is ripe for your infiltrator character, and make the most of this time as a learning opportunity.

Spawn Bug...when someone spawns they can see cloakers for a spit second

Lag Inv Swap...quite possibly the most annoying...when lag hits when you are switching things in your inventory with the right-click option it sometimes jsut falls on the floor, most of the time lcoaked becasue it came from a cloaker, making it even harder to find.

and for some reason the others have escaped from my diminished brain.

yea, im prolly the most paranoid of people in PS, reason is, most of the time, when i turn on DL and spin around in a circle, i see cloakers, so i do it alot, like the other day, i did it, 2 cloakers, and each time it happens it scares the shit outa me, untill i blow the shit out of them

Every cloaker i encounter dies a horrible death from me. I have darklight and use it all the time. The cloakers i encounter are really dumb ones. They just run right past me at full speed and i can see them. Cloakers need to be smarter on how to get into bases. With darklight i have never died from a cloaker since.

You could start a trend where all the cloakers have darklight and exist in this alternate ps world of darkness based on beamers..., amp's, and mellee combat, and only kill none cloaks who look right at you.8)
And of course other cloakers.

You could have wars bettween apposing races of cloakers and scare the shit out of peopel when suddenly there are nothing but mass blurs all around htem.
And always gut basses you invade so ther easier to get just to the things you want, like equipment, and are always trying to turn them or keep them as like ghost continents 8). Then those who want more sight would just use like aces and radar or something, And use cr skills alot.

Generally, I dont do that. I see someone coming towards me, stop, wait till I'm out of his field of vision, follow him for awhile, and then give him a big dish o' stabbity death.

Problem is, his buddy that doesnt show up until I take my knife out always shoots me dead after I kill the guy.

Meh, my biggest thing was the ILF. What weapon killed me didn't concern me too greatly because anyone in an infiltration suit is pretty dead as soon as anyone knows he's there. Which weapon kills him is kind of incidental isn't it? I can see what you're saying with area of effect weapons making it easier to hit an infiltrator you can't see, but I can't think of a plausable way to stop people from spamming if they want to.
