A GF4 and Radeon 9700 aren't even remotely in the same league. I don't know how to beat it into your head. THEY. ARE. NOT. EVEN. SIMILAR. A GF4 doesn't outperform the Radeon 8500 by a large margin, and it doesn't even hold a candle to the 9700, let alone the 9700 Pro.
A GF4 will choke with a lot of action going on at once, a 9700/P will not. It's that simple. If you want to have your system come to a grinding halt everytime you get more than 20 people on your screen, go nuts. If you wanna keep a nice smooth framerate through massive firefights, get a 9700.

I'm sorry but you're an idiot. First of all you need to factor in the type of graphics that the game uses. PS has some good graphics and sure they can be pretty straining on a graphics card but a gf4 will be able to handle it just fine for the most part.
The GF4 and the Radeon 9700 are the only 2 cards that can be remotely categorized together. I mention them because they are the two best cards you can get on the market right now. Don't be a dumbass not once did I say that the GF4 was superior to the Radeon 9700 pro. The GF4 may choke somewhat in huge battles but compared to other cards except the radeon 9700 it's not as bad.
I'm not sure why you think I'm telling people to go GF4 instead of Radeon because if you have the choice and can afford either get the Radeon. It's clearly better but you need to realize until the GF FX and the new ATI GPUs come out those two are the best you can get. Regardless of the obvious difference in power people still buy the ti4600 for good reason. It's not a bad card but when you stack it up against a card like the Radeon 9700 it does put it to shame. Never said it didn't.
