Large fight (like what was on Hossin last night when the NC had the CC module) 5-35. Otherwise 45-190 (depending upon continent, # of people near me, indoor/outdoor, etc.). For example, on Oshur in a Reaver flying at medium altitude I average 60-75. On Hossin, around 45-65.
This is with all settings set to high, max visible distance, flora set to low, particle effects set to medium, and 32bit textures. |

P4 2.8 GHz
1GB DDR RAM Asus P4C 800 Deluxe using the onboard SoundMAX audio ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (128MB RAM) 120GB SATA drive Broadband connection (DSL 640k down/256k up) via a LAN/firewall WinXP Pro SP1 In addition I use Powerstrip to adjust the PCI latency on my ATI Radeon from 248 to 64 and on my ethernet NIC from 80 to 32 (please read the appropriate disclaimers and how-to's before attempting as settings are fluid and should be set for your specific setup and there are some warnings). I used to have a GeForce 3 Ti-500 and Powerstrip allowed me to gain a few extra fps by adjusting the latency. I haven't raised the courage yet to overclock my system or video card. I also do some basic WinXP tweaking such as turning off unecessary services and use some network tweaks to streamline my connection. I also disable Norton Anti-Virus while I am playing PS (and enable it when I am done). |
