Delta is taken in honor of Master Sergeant Gary I Gordon and Sergeant First Class Randall D Shughart, the two Medal of Honor awardees, Delta Force Snipers that were killed in action during the defense of the second crashed helicopter in Somolia. Those are the two guys that you see in the Black Hawk Down movie.
