The hospital she was "rescued" from, didn't even had Iraqi soldiers in it, she was being taken care of by the doctors. One of the doctors even tried to bring her back to the Americans in an ambulance, but they started to shoot at them, so they had to turn back (What would it look like if someone scheduled to be "rescued" from a hospital was simply driven back in an ambulance days before the rescue was going to occur?). In the raid on the hospital, US troops were arresting, and suppressing hospital staff, there wasn't even any Iraqi military in the building.

even if she was raped, many people still died in that war. do they get a movie?
and yes, i recognise that mabey the goverment is putting all this plublicity, or mabey the media, but most likly, she is getting money from ABC, because they filmed a movie about her, and is most definatly gonna get alot of money from her book too. |

i just don't get how they are making a big deal about it just because she is a woman, many men soldiers have been captured, beaten, and killed in torture camps and jails, but when a woman soldier takes a wrong turn, gets captured and is treated at a hospital she is special.

I saw a thing on NBC or something like that. It explained exactly what hapend and i found it VERY interesting. IMHO they made the movie/hero of the wrong person. This young 20 something blond dude manage to drive through the iraqi's line killing some and then shoot soldiers and clear a mortar pit that was on the side of the road, saving more lives. It also noted that he had not fired his weapon in over 7 months and the first time in boot camp, failed his rifle tests. He then hotwired a dump truck to escape with others. I think thats showing more courage than whatever happened with her gun(thats not what im here to talk about.) He is the one that we should all be hearing about, not her. Sure she has gone through some shit, but i think not getting captured and saving lives is a better story. If anyone has his name, please PM me and put it on the forums so others can see who the hero really is.

We have about 200 soldiers that have died post-war that are missing books, media coverage, nude photos ( ), and movies.
We can do without the photos. But still. It's not fair.

The gun katas. Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element. The gun kata treats the gun as a total weapon, each fluid position representing a maximum kill zone, inflicting maximum damage on the maximum number of opponents while keeping the defender clear of the statistically traditional trajectories of return fire. By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly. |

Yeah, I saw the stuff on NBC about how she crashed her truck and was taken prisoner while unconcious, the whole story is sensationalized to the max.

This is another reason why i don't like the bush regime and they way america is acting right now as a whole, becuase the make things like this some kind of hero story, and there are most likeley far better stories to make movies of (not that we should be makeing movies like this before the war is even realy over!) like that gunfight the cammra man of the guy who had an anurism and died was in. They way eveyone acted in that battle was far more heroic and suchlike than The lynch thing, not that her storie wasn't terrible or anything.
