And actually my car does have a car alarm but it's either broken or they knew a way to bypass it because it never went off =\

With how little time it would have taken him to get the CDs though I wonder if even that would have deterred him. Just pop the glovebox, grab the ones tucked in the seat and he's gone >_<

And yeah I checked with the insurance company and my car insurance won't cover it. Since it was parked at my parents house when it happaned their homeowners may cover it, but there's no guarentee that they'd pay out and the premiums could be affected even if they don't pay out so I doubt that's going to be a vialbe route.

In the end it looks like I'm just out $900 in CDs.

As far as downlaoding music does I generally don't because up until a couple months ago I didn't have a burner and my CD player in my car has trouble playing burned CDs. I have a feeling I'm going to be getting the majority of them back through download though. I already paid for them once and I still have all the jewel cases so I even have proof that I bought them

On a brighter note KotOR comes out tmorrow for PC. I'll probably pick up a couple of them when I pick that up, most likely the ones that I was currently listening to (ones listed first in the original post).
