Drop by the OF sometime. after sifting through the piles of mindless arguements and petitions, you'll find maybe 3 or 4 thoughtful ideas. sorry that I didnt identify your sarcasm, its harder to tell if your just READING it and theres no way of telling your expression.

from now on, before you post, consider that we cant see what you're actually THINKING behind it unless its blatently obvious. your "devs hate TR" post didnt look so sarcastic to me.

Anyway, back to topic. Yes, falling is indeed messed up. I jump off towers all the time because I take at most 15 damage. However running from base to base racks up about the same without any drops, thats just the terrain. They need to raise the minimun distance required before you take damage. It's not something critical, they probably have it slated to be looked at eventually.

I will readily acknowledge that there are a few good ideas on the official forums, once one sifts through "OMFG NERF TEH LASHER!" and "GODJOEY CHEATS!" and "Vanu on Emerald ownzorz you!" I think a majority of the imput that leads to changes in the game comes from those forums, although I notice Sporkfire comes here too. I think that it'd be easier for him to get valid, intelligent imput here because of the constant moderator presence that keeps the trash out. Plus you don't see too much of "Your idea sucks, you're a f__king idiot you stupid n00b!" replied to by "OMFG STFU LOL!"

Most of the time, I make jokes constantly. When I'm deadly serious it's generally when I'm laying into someone for being an illiterate, ignorant idiot... because illiteracy and deliberate ignorance really irritates me.

As far as my expression goes, I maintain the same face for virtually everything.

I've taken 40 damage from climbing into a sniper position, mostly sliding three feet.

I've taken 0 damage from jumping off of a 5 story Watch Tower.

Well, I remember back in the day when a VS max took 10-20 damage just from using its jump jets.

ive done soem testing and ive found out that a lot of times, when you jump off a 5 story twr and get no dmg, its because the fall dmg generator is set at random

sometimes you get dmg, sometimes you dont

This is a joke, i didnt do any testing. All i know is that fall dmg thing has to be the next thing to be fixed

How do you not take damage from jumping form a galaxy and logicaly say you can from a tower? Dont you always have the thing that stops that from hurting you on your armor?

alright I think we can all conclude that the flying damage engine is flawed. "Hey! I fell of the Ceryshen uber bridge and didn't get any damage! yet my friend was killed on impact!"
