Patching

Is there any way to skip some of the patches that you don't need (such as the offline training patches since I won't be training offline), because I'm using dial-up and its too slow and keeps kicking me off. Thanks for the help

Nope, no way. The patching process is going to be evil, no two ways about it if you're on dialup. The game itself will be slightly less evil on dialup, although it will most likely still make you want to stick a fork in your eye.

Yeah, no shortcuts. But then again, you don't WANT to skip a patch because those ones with the offline training? I'm positive they online changes.

probably the devs must be covering something in the game with the off line training patch *evil devs*

Ususally those patches are the ones with the stealth patches.

Cloud, I don't want to drive you off, but in my opinion there is little point in playing PS wih a POS rig. Honestly, you need atleast 256k connection, 512 RAM, and 2 Gigahertz to have good times, +a 1337 card.
