I have seen other message boards around the PS community comparing PS to Halo.
Watching a lot of various vids of the game in action, its looks to me to be comparable to Renegade's style of play. I like the physics aspect, but I just can't shake the feeling that the players and vehicles are just as "static" looking as they are in Renegade (in terms of multiplayer, not single). I am sorry ahead of time for offending anyone who's been following the game since its announcement. I don't mean to negatively bash PS, I would just like to hear from someone an intelligent answer to this simple question: Is the gamestyle comparable to Halo or Renegade? |

Well, the short answer is: We just cant say yet. Your guess is as good as ours because the most anyone has seen is a few movies and screenshots. Beta should be starting real soon, so stick around and there will be more than enough info for you.

I don't think it will feel like halo, mainly because of the changing size of the cone of fire.
In halo you can just unload an entire clip while moving and the cone of fire does not change size. In PS you are probably going to want to fire in bursts and will have better aim while stationary.

I don't see any similarities to Halo besides people walking around decked out in full futuristic body armor. I think we just have a lot of people who like Halo going to PS.
Tribes2-the jetpacks=what seems like a good fit/comparison. Haven't played C&C... |

Yeah, I'd have to say this is looking more to be like Tribes 2 than anything else, but Tribes 2 on a much larger scale. In t2, bases couldn't be "captured", but the generators could be destroyed and would have to be repaired. Also the vehicles required teamwork, unlike mose games... I dunno... just my 2 ?planetary credits?
