Melee Attacks

I think it'd be cool if you could hit people with your gun, i.e. Halo style, since the knife/pistol takes too long to get out in a firefight if your clip is empty, it could do, say, 1/4 the damage of the knife, 1/2 with melee boost.

Questions? Comments? Additions? Flames? Cookies?

It would be a nice addition...kinda to weak too matter though isnt it? I think knife should be increased by about 50% and that should do the damage of the knife currently.

Well, remember, this would usually be after you have emptied a clip of ammo into their face, so, they are probably hurt already pretty badly

True...but I still think this should be added to the game for cloakers and such, who dont have time to pull out the knife or something.

The other guy could just run backwards and reload before you would even have a chance to melee attack him.

I would just like to pistol wip people as a cloaker, that would be funny as hell. Run around with adv targetting, picking them off. Yes a Gun would work better but smacking upside the head would be fun.

then i am confused... maybe he didn't have any armor.... i dunno. Do the knives really not do damage? I pretty sure i killed him, saw it in the score box. CauldronBorne<chainblade>aww fuck, what was his name.... shit, started with a 'K', damn...

crap, not knwoing that name, and knowing that i only killed him bc he had no more armor is gonna keep me up tonight...

It would seem that you cannot hurt MAX units with a meele weapon. Who would actually want to go up against a heavily armored infantry unit with a knife anyhow?

I think armor or not, knives do nothing to MAX units.

Actually, this would be a really useful addition. Say a softie comes up while you have your Pheonix out, just club him to death.

If there is no armor, i am pretty shure MAXs can get hurt

Melee Attacks are on of those cool, but useless additions to the game in my opinon.

If a MAX is stripped of his armor, he can definitely be killed by a knife. A friend of mine got the kill on a MAX that was camping spawn, he was an infil and he knifed it after those of us pouring out of the tubes had worn down his armor enough with our supressors.
