No you didnt. Vash told the guy to take his crappy comp stats out of his sig and mentioned his total storage capacity. noone said it was one drive.
IM going to put my comp stats in my sig. How many pins did Dimms have again. Makes you wonder how i even post on this forum. Last edited by Ait'al; 2004-03-04 at 06:17 PM. |

I ran it on my computer with no problems and I've never heard anybody saying that it will mess up your computer. Any OS can mess up your computer, and making a restore point won't stop that. If you're running XP it definately won't mess up your system because it can't read NTFS partions. So unless you're running a FAT32 OS (ME, 98, etc) you've got nothing to worry about.

All depends on how it accesses the physical components of the Computer. I used to run Coyote Linux as my webserver, a nifty little hased up version of Linux was a small version of IP Tables.
-Haha i forgot to add my point here, Coyote Linux fit on a floppy, and i saw it destroy two hard drives because it didn't know how to mount properly. Once I destroyed 2 I went to thier site and dug a bit they said it was a known problem with the mount command.... A few things, first Linux IS NOT more secure than Windows if the person using it does not lock it down. This is a HUGE misconception about Linux and one of the biggest concerns being in the field. A friend who works for a company in the Milwaukee area, setup two Linux servers, just the basic stuff, and was told that someone would do the security for them. Within 5 hours both machines had been Rooted and were either spaming, port scanning or monitoring traffic. Linux CAN be more secure than windows 2003 Server and Windows XP if used right and to the extent it was meant for. There are actually more games than you think that support Linux, go look at Wine, they have a HUGE list of games they have ported to Linux.
