Yep... I went with a nForce2 mobo with an integrated GF4MX (ie... remarked GF2) for my server, but it has an AGP8x slot in it should I ever need to gut the machine and turn it into a gaming machine.

Audio is one area that onboard is better though... The nForce2 onboard audio is very unique. It is able to play MP3s without taking any CPU cycles. (if you're player has any visuals they will take a few, but using Winamp5 my CPU usage when playing MP3s is between 0 and 2%) In general it also has the lowest CPU usage of any other sound card, including the super expensive Audigy Platinum.

Yea I got boned like that about 6 years ago when I got a Compaq Presario. It said right on the front "AGP 2x Slot". Didnt have one.

Yea i agree peace, they need to be killed and go to hell, i was looking to buy a new cp and whenever i found a decently priced cp, it had intergrated, i mean god damn, is it that hard to give me at least a GF3?!?!? Anyways, i found a really good priced (545$) that comes with a free 200$monitor, amd 2800, integrated graphic card unfortunatly but i got good one with spare cash, 512ram, 120GB hard drive, and i have no clue what the sound card is but it doesnt really make much of a difference to me. I also got kicked off my bus the other day so my parents arent giving it to me until i sort it out with them and they arent home very often so thats y im not on planetside 24/7

Especially when you help out your friends telling them why they cant play BF1942 and its the same story every time "Intel Integrated" and then they dont have an AGP slot so they get a PCI Geforce 2 ask me to install it, he had a 400 shitty gateway with a half tower so we had to take a powersaw to the case, then we still had to take off the metal bracket in the card. The case is warped so he has to stick a pencil into his computer to reach the power button, and he has half a PCI card sticking out of his case. Then we spent 4 hours chaing the video off Integrated Bus onto on the PCI Bus then we installed nvidia drivers but the old Intel Drivers fucked it up.
